Qingdao has sister city relationships all over the world, including Long Beach (US), Southampton (UK), and Nantes (FR). Now we can add Pattaya, Thailand to the list. The hookup is related to Thailand’s involvement with the Horticulture Expo 2014 to be held in Qingdao from April to October, 2014.
Qingdao Deputy Mayor Liu Mingjun and other city officials recently visited the Pattaya Nong Nooch Tropical Gardens to seal the deal. A provision in the agreement allows for a Thai consulate in Qingdao.
